NCH Thanks Community; Ball Benefits Hurricane Wilma Relief

October 30, 2005 - (Naples, FL) The NCH Healthcare System would like to thank the entire community for its generous support of the Anniversary Waltz Hospital Ball that took place last evening on Saturday, October 29, at the Ritz Carlton.

Because of the impact of Hurricane Wilma, NCH redirected the proceeds of its 50th year Anniversary Ball from the new Cardiac and outpatient rehabilitation center to Hurricane Wilma relief efforts. We thank our vice-chairs, Bonnie Stout and Rainey Norins, who dedicated months of creativity and planning to successfully leading more than 40 dedicated volunteers to a record-setting Ball, netting more than $500,000.

Congratulations to our Physician of the Year honorees who exemplify all of the 500 premier physicians at both NCH Naples and NCH North Collier Hospitals. Special congratulations to Dr. Jacob Jordan, general surgeon, who was selected NCH’s Physician of the Year for 2005. NCH is proud of its 50-year history that survived hurricane Donna in 1960, hurricane Wilma in 2005, and will continue to serve Southwest Florida with commitment and demonstrated quality for all our patients.

The NCH Healthcare System is an alliance of over 550 physicians, two hospitals and dozens of medical facilities in Naples, Florida.
