The NCH Outpatient Rehabilitation physical therapy team is experienced in treating orthopedic and sports injuries. We treat operative and non-operative conditions. We develop individualized physical therapy programs designed to return you to your highest level of function. We strive to help you achieve your clinical and personal therapy goals.
Each of our locations offer state-of-the-art equipment and provide excellent patient care in a friendly and compassionate environment. Our physical therapists complete a thorough evaluation and discuss how your injury or medical condition is limiting your level of activity. Education and home exercise programs are provided during the course of your recovery to keep you mobile and active throughout your lifetime.

Knee pain can be caused by disease or injury and can limit your ability to perform everyday tasks. Knee pain may also limit range of motion and decrease strength and endurance. Consult your physician regarding your treatment options. A few of the knee problems our physical therapists treat include:
- Meniscal Tears
- Repetitive Stress Injuries, (Overuse):
- Ligament Injury: ACL Injury, (The Anterior Cruciate Ligament), PCL, (Posterior Cruciate Ligament), MCL, (Medial Collateral Ligament), and LCL, (Lateral Collateral Ligament), pre and post operative conditions.
- Joint replacement, (Pre/Post-operative)
Shoulder: Shoulder injuries can be very painful. Injuries can occur due to overuse, trauma, falls, or other medical conditions. A few of the shoulder conditions our physical therapists treat include:
- Impingement syndrome
- Frozen shoulder-- (Adhesive Capsulitis)
- Rotator cuff tendonitis
- Rotator cuff tears
- Post-operative rotator cuff repair
- Post-operative shoulder replacement
Hips: Hip pain can be caused by various medical conditions such as arthritis, bursitis, injuries, and osteoporosis. Ask your physician if physical therapy can complement your treatment plan. At NCH, our physical therapists are highly skilled and experienced in treating non-operative and operative hip pain. Should your physician determine Total Hip Replacement is appropriate for you, the physical therapists at NCH provide post-operative treatment plans tailored to your individual goals while working closely with your physician regarding your plan of care. - Hip Bursitis
Foot & Ankle: A common ankle injury is a sprain or strain. If pain persists, consult your physician and ask if physical therapy can complement your treatment plan. Our therapists treat fractures, Achilles tendon repairs, tendonitis, Plantar Fasciitis, and post-surgical conditions.

Our goal is to restore your function and improve your quality of life by returning you to the activities you enjoy. Your therapist will provide an individualized treatment plan to decrease pain, increase strength, and improve range of motion so you can achieve your goals. Therapy will include education on your diagnosis and appropriate stretching and strengthening exercises to encourage a healthy return to safe activity.
