Dr. Solomon graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Biochemistry and Biomolecular Engineering from Rice University in Houston, Texas. He then completed his medical degree at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, Connecticut. After receiving his medical degree, Dr. Solomon then completed his internship and residency in General Surgery at New York University Medical Center in New York, New York, followed by fellowships in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Cardiac Valve Surgery both also at New York University Medical Center.

Dr. Solomon is board certified by both the American Board of Surgery as well as the American board of Thoracic Surgery. His medical interests include valvular heart disease, mitral valve repair, coronary disease, aortic disease, and structural heart therapies including TAVR. He has published nearly a dozen journal articles and chapters, with nearly an additional dozen abstracts and presentations to his credit. Dr. Solomon has lectured on topics ranging from valve disease and replacement to ECMO and minimally invasive and robotic cardiothoracic surgery. He moved to Naples to begin working with the NCH Heart Institute in 2017.

Outside of his work in cardiothoracic surgery at NCH, Dr. Solomon enjoys participating in volunteer work as well as salt-water fishing, sailing, downhill skiing, and photography. He is a driven and compassionate surgeon who brings tremendous value to NCH and the patients he serves.
