We are increasing our first year class to 16 residents this year. In three years, we will have 48 residents and three Chief Residents as our complement.

On the floors, we have a graded cap system where interns start off with four patients and then slowly work their way up to a maximum of eight patients. Seniors can expect to see a maximum of ten patients on their own and 16 when supervising interns.

The hospital has a large patient volume. Thus, residents do not provide coverage for all admitted patients. Our residents cover the patients that are admitted to the teaching floor teams only.

Currently there aren’t any fellowships available.

U.S. clinical experience is not a requirement. However, we assess the overall strength of the application as well as the competitiveness of the applicants to the program in the given year; thus, U.S. clinical experience is encouraged.
