Dr. Gelinas received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He then went on to complete his medical degree at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Gelinas then remained at IU Medical Center to complete his residency in internal medicine. He relocated to Louisville, Kentucky to complete a cardiology fellowship at the University of Louisville.

Dr. Gelinas held numerous positions as a private practice cardiologist across Kentucky and southern Indiana before relocating to Naples to practice in 2004. He has served as a staff cardiologist for healthcare systems in the Naples area since that time and has been with the Rooney Heart Institute at NCH since 2010.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Dr. Gelinas spent his youth farming and working as a meat cutter before earning his undergraduate degree and beginning his medical journey. His extensive work in both private practice and larger healthcare systems has given Dr. Gelinas a unique ability to navigate a variety of patient experiences and provide thorough, well-rounded care to each and every one of his patients.
