About Dr. Sharma
Dr. Sharma is the section head of electrophysiology for the Rooney Heart Institute at NCH and the Fritz and Kathy Friday endowed chair of electrophysiology. He graduated medical school at the prestigious University of Delhi, India. In addition, he received advanced electrophysiology training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York and at UCLA Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Sharma has received several awards and has been published in countless medical journals. He is actively involved in groundbreaking clinical trials in novel ablation technologies for atrial fibrillation ablation, artificial intelligence in ablation, minimal fluoroscopy use and left atrial appendage occlusion with the Amulet/Watchman device for stroke prevention. He is also involved with research on heart failure.
Dr. Sharma brings a wealth of knowledge and provides his patients with unmatched cardiovascular care. In addition, he enjoys spending time playing pickleball with his wife and three daughters.
