About Dr. Flynn

Dr. Flynn received his undergraduate degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio followed by his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Flynn then went on to complete an internship and residency in internal medicine at Saint Louis University Hospital, followed by a residency in cardiovascular disease and a fellowship in interventional cardiology also both at Saint Louis University Hospital.

Dr. Flynn is a well-decorated, extensively published physician with interests in a variety of cardiothoracic fields. Beyond his board certifications in cardiac disease and interventional cardiology, Dr. Flynn has also pursued special training in advanced coronary ultrasound imaging, coronary artery pressure/flow relation, coronary artery lithotrypsy and circulatory support with the Impella device. He has performed more than 3,600 interventional procedures during his career. Dr. Flynn is a member of numerous professional societies, serves as a medical journal reviewermand continues both research and publishing.

A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Dr. Flynn has practiced in the Naples area for nearly 30 years. He is a member of the Par Club of the Western Golf Association. He brings a wealth of knowledge and unparalleled skills to the Rooney Heart Institute at NCH, providing patients with the very best in cardiac care.
