About Dr. Chahwan
Dr. Chahwan graduated from the University of Buenos Aires, School of Medicine in Argentina. He completed two research fellowships through the University of Southern California before completing a fellowship in vascular surgery at the Jobst Vascular Center in Toledo, Ohio. He was a surgical research fellow at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Pennsylvania before becoming the Administrative Chief Surgical Resident at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Chahwan is board-certified in vascular surgery and general surgery.
Dr. Chahwan is an extensively published physician with many professional affiliations including the Society of Vascular Surgery, American Medical Association, Florida Vascular Society, South Florida Society of Vascular Surgery and Collier Medical Society. He also helped secure a medical research grant from Ethicon Research to study the use of iatrogenic abdominal hypertension for the control of intra-abdominal bleeding.
Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Chahwan enjoys reading, watching his native Rugby team, fishing and computers.
