About Dr. Brownstein

Dr. Brownstein graduated from Università degli Studi a Roma (Statale) in Rome, Italy and completed an internal medicine residency at Hahnemann University (Drexel) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Brownstein completed his general cardiology fellowship at the University of Illinois in Chicago and an electrophysiology fellowship at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. He completed two years of academic work and research at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa and has advanced training in arrhythmias.

Dr. Brownstein is board certified in cardiology and internal medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians. He has practiced electrophysiology for more than 30 years and is a fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society. He has special interest in heart rhythm management, congestive heart failure and autonomic disturbances of the heart. Recently, Dr. Brownstein became involved with the management of amyloidosis.

Dr. Brownstein’s goal is to provide comprehensive care by utilizing cooperative management. It is imperative the patient have a positive experience to facilitate outstanding holistic care. He is proficient in Italian and also speaks intermediate, conversational Spanish.
