MEET OUR TEAM

Valeriu Neagu, MD

Dr. Valeriu Neagu is board certified in endocrinology. He graduated from the University of Medicine in Timisoara, Romania. After earning his medical degree, Dr. Neagu served his residency at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He completed his fellowship at University of Illinois in Chicago where he specialized in endocrinology.

Dr. Neagu is trained in the field of endocrinology, diabetes and metabolic medicine. He practices in a patient-centered manner knowing that every patient can have a different presentation of the same condition with expertise for treating conditions like severe diabetes, adrenal and pituitary disorders, low testosterone, menopausal disorder and osteoporosis. Dr. Neagu has a special interest in thyroid abnormalities and thyroid cancer. He brings his experience from practicing five years in Oklahoma City in a very diverse practice where he cared for patients with endocrine disorders. Publications of his work include research studies focused on Vitamin D deficiency and kidney transplant patients with diabetes.

Masleidy Fornos Artiles, MSN, APRN, AGNP-C

Masleidy Fornos Artiles received her undergraduate nursing degree from Florida International University in Miami, Florida followed by her Master of Science in Nursing (adult/gerontology nurse practitioner track) also from Florida International University. Masleidy has excelled in her 15 years of experience in nursing, caring for patients in a variety of settings ranging from family practice to dialysis and hospice. She has received numerous awards for her work and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Masleidy’s primary goal is to improve her patients’ health and promote wellness through a patient-centered, holistic care approach. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Masleidy brings a culturally competent approach to her patient care and is committed to not only providing the highest quality treatment for her patients, but promoting disease prevention as well. She implements both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions in her care plans, allowing her to meet the needs of a variety of patients and medical diagnoses.
