Highlights of NCH’s 2022 charity and community benefit activities
St. Matthew’s House
Inpatient and outpatient services provided at no cost to patients residing at St. Matthew’s House in partnership with physicians.
Neighborhood Health Clinic
Partnering with physicians, inpatient and outpatient services are provided at no cost to the Neighborhood Clinic to care for the “working poor”.
P.L.A.N. Physician Led Access Network of Collier County
Providing inpatient and outpatient medical services to the poor in partnership with physicians in this community initiative.
Judith and Marvin Herb Family Simulation Center
Preparing the next generation of professionals through instructions and scenarios to improve patient safety and outcomes.
Patient Family Support
A medical event can affect the entire family. We offer support groups, support non-profits and assist patients who can’t afford transportation, personal items and home care.
Clinical Schools
Clinical nursing schools of FGCU and Florida SouthWestern State College receive clinical education, preceptorships and classroom space at NCH.
Health Seminars, Fairs and Testing
Free health seminars, community health fairs and complimentary or reduced-price screening tests provided to the public.
Cancer Programs
Cancer awareness and assisting patients in their cancer survival are important initiatives for NCH. We proudly sponsor the Garden of Hope & Courage.
Heart Programs
NCH has been a major supporter of the American Heart Association for many years and sponsors teams for the annual Heart Walk.
Spiritual Care
In addition to the exceptional pastoral care services provided to patients, NCH sponsors and hosts a Clinical Pastoral Education Program for students of the ministries who need education in the spiritual care of the sick.
Sharing Our Expertise
NCH leaders and team members serve on boards and provide expertise on community matters, such as workforce housing and workforce development.
Florida Medicaid
The cost of care for patients with Medicaid surpasses the payments received, however NCH subsidizes this program to provide optimum care.
Collier County Welfare
Once government funding of the county welfare program is depleted, NCH continues to see patients at no cost.
Project Search
Helping young adults with developmental disabilities learn job skills, in partnership with Collier County Public Schools.
LifeVac
NCH and the Collier Community Foundation gave away hundreds of LifeVac choking rescue device kits to local restaurants, schools and hotels. This device could help save a life in a choking emergency.
Employees Give Back
NCH team members show their care through our needy coworker program “Partners in Caring”, Christmas drive, school drive, and the United Way annual campaign.
