Understanding Interventional Radiology
Interventional radiology is a medical specialty that performs various minimally invasive procedures using medical imaging guidance, such as x-ray fluoroscopy, computed tomography, or ultrasound to diagnose and treat a wide variety of conditions.

Transforming Lives Through Interventional Radiology
Interventional Radiology uses medical imaging guidance to treat the disease at its source. These techniques allow Interventional Radiologists to treat conditions that once required surgery, resulting in a less invasive procedure with less risk, less pain and less recovery time compared to open surgery.
Preparation for your exam
Preparing for an interventional radiology procedure can vary and is dependent on the specific procedure. Complex procedures may require a consultation with one of our Board-Certified Interventional Radiologist. Every patient will receive detailed instructions from one of our staff members. Many of our procedures require some form of sedation, which will require you to have someone to pick you up from our facility to bring you back to your home.
