Naples Comprehensive Health (NCH) is expanding its oncology services through a new partnership with Northwestern Medicine, one of the nation’s leading cancer facilities. This collaboration, announced on October 28, grants NCH access to Northwestern’s oncology expertise, second-opinion referrals, and advanced clinical trials.
NCH CEO Paul Hiltz highlighted that nearly 40% of Collier County cancer patients seek treatment outside the county, a trend NCH aims to reverse through this partnership and a significant philanthropic donation from Jim and Fran McGlothlin. Expansion plans include enhanced infusion therapy services and a new women’s cancer center on the North Naples campus, led by Dr. Ed Grendys, to provide comprehensive gynecologic oncology care.
With Northwestern’s resources, NCH will recruit specialized oncology staff and bring advanced treatments and technologies to Collier County. The initiative may lead to a future comprehensive cancer center. Northwestern Medicine’s Robert H.
