Gulfshore Business recently reported that Naples Comprehensive Health (NCH) plans to build a 150-bed hospital in Ave Maria, bringing much-needed medical services to eastern Collier County. The hospital will be developed on 18 acres donated by Barron Collier Companies and Ave Maria Development, with construction expected to begin within the next two years.
The multi-phase project will start with a 24/7 emergency department, followed by operating rooms and inpatient bed towers, ultimately supporting up to 750 healthcare jobs. NCH Chief Operations Officer Jonathan Kling emphasized that the facility will expand as the community grows, ensuring access to high-quality care close to home.
Community leaders, including Barron Collier Cos. Vice President Cee Cee Marinelli and Collier County Commissioner Bill McDaniel, praised the project as a major milestone that will enhance quality of life and provide vital health services for residents of Ave Maria and surrounding areas.
