NAPLES, Fla. – March 24, 2021 NCH is happy to announce the addition of 16 candidates to join our Internal Residency program as the class of 2024 of medical residents. Additionally, NCH also welcomes in July its inaugural class of six candidates chosen as Transitional Year residents for the class of 2022.
The Transitional Year program is a one-year program which offers a broad-based clinical experience for learners pursuing training in advanced residencies. Candidates were announced on match day, Friday, March 19 and represent a diverse group of physicians from schools as close as our very own state to as far away as South America.
Our program was developed in concert with our academic partner, the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. Both the Mayo Clinic and the University of Central Florida support our efforts toward individual mentoring and guidance of young medical graduates as they progress to expert doctors.
