NAPLES, Fla. – When the Fifth Avenue South Business Improvement District decided to move forward with the annual holiday tree lighting, the NCH Healthcare System offered to take part in the festival in an effort to not only help safeguard the health of those in attendance, but also to remind our community to stay vigilant and safe against COVID-19 during the holiday season.
The 47th Annual Christmas Walk and Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place on December 4 at 5:00 p.m. thru December 5 at 10:00 p.m. Fifth Avenue South will be closed off to traffic throughout this two-day festival allowing for an array of activities to take place in a safe and socially distanced environment. This year’s Christmas on Fifth will include expanded outdoor dining allowing guests to dine ‘al fresco’ at their favorite restaurants right on the street as well as other holiday experiences and an appearance by Santa.
NCH will have tables at either end of Fifth Avenue South where masks will be available for pick up and worn by all of those in attendance at the festival. Visitors will also be reminded to stay at least six feet apart from others, and additionally, NCH will be providing hand sanitizing stations all along the avenue during the event.
