Information for Applicants

Applications are made through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Application will require the following:

We do not accept applications from individuals with medical school graduation dates greater than five years from date of application. Applicants must have passed on the first attempt USMLE steps 1 and 2 or COMLEX levels 1 and 2 to be considered for an interview.
We review applications in their entirety once submitted on ERAS. Applicants considered for appointment will be invited for an interview with the Program Director and selected faculty through ERAS. Interviews are conducted in October.
We do not consider applications outside of ERAS. Early application submission is encouraged.
The Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship Program participates in the Medical Specialties Matching Program of the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). Applicants should register with the NRMP.

Interviews are currently held virtually using Webex

U.S. clinical experience is not a requirement. However, we assess the overall strength of the application as well as the competitiveness of the applicants to the program in the given year; thus, U.S. clinical experience is encouraged.

We review each application in its entirety once submitted to ERAS, and invite candidates we feel would be a good fit in our program.

Our program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

Yes, successful completion of training in an ACGME-accredited residency program and verification of each entering fellow’s level of competence in the required field. Must have completed at least three years of internal medicine education prior to starting the fellowship as well as meet all fellowship eligibility requirements.

Must be eligible for or have passed the ABIM examination.

Currently have or can obtain a training license to practice medicine in Florida prior to the start of the fellowship.

The program is three years in length and is accredited for two fellows per year, for a total of six fellows.

*All first-year fellows start at the PGY-4 level regardless of prior training or experience.
