NAPLES, Fla. – September 24, 2021 — Because of the current situation with COVID infections, the 63rd annual NCH Hospital Ball is being rescheduled from its original date of November 6, 2021 to April 2, 2022.
Dr. Douglas and Dianna Harrington are chairing the event. “NCH is committed to protecting the health and safety of our patients, staff, supporters and the greater community,” said Dr. Harrington. “Now, more than ever, NCH needs the continuing support of our community as our dedicated medical team works tirelessly to meet the needs of COVID patients and others in our care. We look forward to, once again, being able to safely gather and share an evening of inspiration,” he said.
Hospital Ball proceeds will benefit the Judith and Marvin Herb Family Simulation Center at NCH Baker Hospital Downtown. The new 10,000-square-foot simulation center will deliver state-of-the art medical simulation training that promises to elevate NCH patient care to new heights of excellence. The Center’s astonishingly human-like robotic “patients” provide real world medical scenarios that allow NCH medical interns and medical personnel to perform procedures while experiencing the simulated physical and even emotional responses of their robotic “patients.”
“With everyone’s support, we can give NCH’s physicians, nurses and staff the tools and technology they need to provide our community with the best patient care possible,” added Dr. Harrington.
The NCH Hospital Ball will include entertainment, a cocktail reception, silent and live auction and formal dinner and dancing. The evening also will include recognition of NCH Physician of the Year and Nurses of the Year honorees and include a special recognition of the healthcare heroes who continue to serve our community with courage and grace. Tickets are $500 per person and a variety of sponsorships are available.
