Newborn Nursery

Following delivery of well-newborns, mom and baby are transferred to our mother/baby unit (nursery) where they are able to continue to bond and recover. Our supportive nursing team is lactation certified to complement our lactation consultants and assist with breastfeeding needs. Nurses are also trained to perform newborn lab collections that may be needed prior to discharge.

The style and impression of the nursery team should be a caring and intimate one. At The Birthplace nursery and mother/baby unit, this is the experience we aim for because this is the experience that every family with their new loved-one deserves.
