NCH Partners with the Largest OB Hospitalist Provider in the Nation to Elevate Women’s Healthcare in Southwest Florida

NAPLES, Fla. – Dec. 1, 2021 As the only hospital in Collier County providing labor and delivery services with approximately 3,400 annual births, NCH Healthcare System is proud to announce that it has partnered with the OB Hospitalist Group (OBHG), the nation’s largest and only dedicated OB/GYN Hospitalist provider committed to elevating women’s healthcare across the country, and now, right here in Collier County.

OBHG is a recognized leader in elevating the quality and safety of women’s healthcare and will be providing their services to women, babies and families in our community at the Women’s and Children’s Pavilion (WCP) at NCH North Naples Hospital. The WCP at NCH is nationally recognized for quality women’s care with the Labor and Delivery Excellence Award and the Obstetrics and Gynecology Excellence Award from Healthgrades for three years in a row.

OBHG’s dedicated and skilled OB clinicians will be at NCH North Naples Hospital 24/7 to ensure consistent, timely care for every patient entering the labor and delivery unit or for obstetric emergencies. Their presence reduces delay in emergent OB/GYN care, improves outcomes, reduces wait times and increases patient satisfaction compared to traditional triage models. In addition, OBHG hospitalists are available around the clock offering collaborative, non-competitive support for local OB/GYN physicians.

OBHG leverages its national network of more than 850 dedicated clinicians in over 180 partner hospitals across 32 states to develop best practices in care which improve patient outcomes, reduce care variability and drive operational and financial efficiencies.

This program does not take the patient from her own physician, but rather helps to ensure that every patient, regardless of physician association or the time of day, is seen by an OB/GYN immediately should there be an emergency.

“Our success all comes back to a commitment to our mission,” said Lenny Castiglione, OBHG CEO. “OBHG clinicians play such a vital role in caring for pregnant patients and their families, and in supporting private practice obstetricians. When our teams are in place to respond to obstetrical emergencies, lives are saved, and women and babies are safer.”

“NCH has always been committed to exceptional quality care for all families in our community,” said Paul Hiltz, President and CEO, NCH Healthcare System. “This new partnership with OB Hospitalist Group takes that commitment to excellence to the next level ensuring our community’s moms have the best round-the-clock care at NCH should they need it.”

The new partnership between NCH and OB Hospitalist Group begins December 15, 2021.
