Welcome! Thank you for your interest in our ACGME-accredited three year Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine Fellowship (PCCM) at Naples Comprehensive Health.
NCH encompasses two comprehensive hospital campuses in Southwest Florida with a total of 739 hospital beds. The system produces abundant clinical volume as well as diversity in patient population and pathology that is ideal for fellows training in PCCM.
The primary training site offers a full range of critical care exposure for trainees including medical, surgical, cardiothoracic, and neurosurgical ICU. The fellow will also have an extensive exposure to a variety of pulmonary disorders including specialty clinics in pulmonary hypertension, interstitial lung disease, sleep, lung nodules and cancer and airways diseases.

Information for Applicants
Applications are made through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Application will require the following:
- Official medical school transcripts
- Copy of medical school diploma
- Submission of successful completion of all USMLE/COMLEX scores (Steps 1, 2,& 3 )
- Copy of all board certification certificates
- Three letters of recommendation- one of them must be written by the Program Director of the residency program in which you most recently served
- An updated curriculum vitae with month and year
- A personal statement describing your reason for pursuing a fellowship in pulmonary critical care medicine, personal pulmonary critical care experiences, and your career goals
- A valid ECFMG certificate (for IMGs)
- A valid J1 visa – H1B visas will not be considered
- Applicants must have graduated medical school within 5 years of anticipated date of enrollment

Will interviews be conducted virtually or in-person?
Interviews are currently held virtually using Webex
Is U.S. clinical experience required?
U.S. clinical experience is not a requirement. However, we assess the overall strength of the application as well as the competitiveness of the applicants to the program in the given year; thus, U.S. clinical experience is encouraged.
Will you review my credentials prior to my submission so I know whether I should apply?
We review each application in its entirety once submitted to ERAS, and invite candidates we feel would be a good fit in our program.
Is the program accredited?
Our program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
Does the program require prior or additional accredited GME training?
Yes, successful completion of training in an ACGME-accredited residency program and verification of each entering fellow’s level of competence in the required field. Must have completed at least three years of internal medicine education prior to starting the fellowship as well as meet all fellowship eligibility requirements.
Are there any other requirements for the position?
Must be eligible for or have passed the ABIM examination.
Currently have or can obtain a training license to practice medicine in Florida prior to the start of the fellowship.
How many positions are available?
The program is three years in length and is accredited for two fellows per year, for a total of six fellows.
*All first-year fellows start at the PGY-4 level regardless of prior training or experience.
