We at NCH are excited to announce that our board has recently added new members who bring insightful expertise and many years of knowledge to our industry. It is with great pleasure that we announce the additions of Alan Einhorn, William Perez and Davey
Alan Einhorn is a nationally recognized tax expert and the recipient of the 2012 Arthur J. Dixon Memorial Award, the highest award given by the accounting profession in the area of taxation. After spending 20 years working as the Chief Quality Officer
for Deloitte Tax LLP and establishing their world-class Quality and Risk Management Program, Mr. Einhorn retired and now serves as a board member for Artis––Naples, the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business,
as well as its Accounting and Information Assurance Department.
Bill Perez is the former President and CEO of the multibillion dollar companies S.C. Johnson – A Family Company, Nike, Inc. and William Wrigley Jr. Company. Most recently, he has founded FamGen, which provides consulting services to family owned
businesses. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Johnson & Johnson, Whirlpool Corporation and Johnson Outdoors. In addition, he is a Presidential Counselor at Cornell University and a member of the
Directors’ Circle for The Chicago Council on Global Affairs.
Davey Scoon’s business career includes multiple senior executive roles in both finance and administration, ranging across industries of asset management, insurance, retail and consumer products. He has highly extensive experience serving on boards
that specialize in areas of compensation, risk management and M&A. Mr. Scoon has taught at the University of Wisconsin and Tufts Medical School, and currently serves as the Audit Chair of AMAG Pharmaceuticals and Biodel Inc.
Mr. Einhorn, Mr. Perez and Mr. Scoon join Jay Baker and Scott Lutgert as the newest members of the board, making it five new members since 2018.
Jay Baker got his start in retail and began working his way through management positions at Macy’s, Ohrbach’s, Famous Barr and Saks Fifth Avenue. He eventually became the President and Chairman of Thimbles, and later the Chairman for
the corporate buying office of BATUS Retail. In 1986, Mr. Baker earned the position of President and CEO of Kohl’s. Since his retirement in 2000, Mr. Baker has continued to serve as a Board Member for the Cal Ripken Senior Foundation, the Fashion
Institute of Technology, and he is presently the Chairman of Baker Retailing Center at the University of Pennsylvania.
Scott Lutgert has helped developed real estate in Southwest Florida and Naples since 1970. As the Chairman of The Lutgert Companies, his leadership and vision led Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, Premier Commercial, Lutgert Construction,
Lutgert Title and Lutgert Insurance. Mr. Lutgert served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Florida Gulf Coast University for twelve years and was previously on the Board of Directors of Naples Community Hospital from 2001 to
2009. In 2015, he and his wife, Simone, chaired the Magnolia Ball in support of the NCH William and Susan Dalton Oncology Unit.
