NCH Healthcare System Awarded Women’s Care Excellence Awards from Healthgrades for the Fifth Year in a Row

NAPLES, Fl. – August 19, 2022  NCH Healthcare System proudly announces that we have been recognized by Healthgrades with two awards for excellence in women’s care for the fifth year in a row.

NCH Healthcare System was recognized with the 2022 Gynecologic Surgery Excellence Award™ as well as the 2022 Labor and Delivery Excellence Award™ from Healthgrades, the leading marketplace connecting doctors and patients, for the fifth year in a row. This distinction from Healthgrades places NCH Healthcare System among the top 5% of hospitals evaluated for quality outcomes in gynecologic surgery as well as labor and delivery.

“Our team remains committed to offering an exceptional patient experience and high-quality care for all women in our community,” said Paul Hiltz, President and CEO, NCH Healthcare System. “Today’s recognition from Healthgrades for the fifth straight year underscores that commitment and should help new moms and moms-to-be feel more assured that NCH Healthcare System is the premier place in Collier County to not only receive care for themselves, but their newborn babies as well.”

Healthgrades analyzed gynecologic surgery and labor and delivery patient outcomes data for all patients from 16 individual states from 2018-2020. During this time, if all hospitals included in this analysis, as a group, performed similarly to hospitals like NCH Healthcare System who received the Gynecologic Surgery Excellence Award and the Labor and Delivery Excellence Award, an average of 7,725 gynecologic surgery patients and 135,637 labor & delivery patients could have avoided complications. *

“Through our 2022 Obstetrics and Gynecology Awards, we seek to recognize facilities who excel in delivering superior care for Ob-Gyn patients,” said Brad Bowman, MD, Chief Medical Officer and head of Data Science, Healthgrades. “We are proud to name NCH Healthcare System as a 2022 Women’s Care Excellence Award recipient in two categories and look forward to their continued efforts to make clinical quality a priority and deliver outstanding care across a range of gynecologic procedures.”
